This spring and summer, Saltwater Performing Arts brings an exciting array of performances that showcase the incredible talent of our community. From the timeless charm of My Fair Lady to the heartwarming humor of Steel Magnolias, our productions promise to captivate audiences of all ages. Families can enjoy the magic of Disney's Winnie the Pooh Kids and Disney's Aladdin Jr., where beloved characters come to life in spectacular fashion. And for those who enjoy a bit of adventure and comedy, Pirates of Penzance in Concert will transport you to the high seas with its witty dialogue and lively music. Whether you're drawn to classic musicals, family-friendly favorites, or unforgettable theatrical experiences, this season offers something for everyone to enjoy—making it the perfect way to celebrate the joy of live performance together!
This summer, Saltwater Performing Arts is offering a variety of fun and educational camps designed for every age and skill level! Our Scenes for Tweens camp is perfect for young performers looking to dive into acting and scene work, while our Broadway Boot Camps for middle and high school students provide intensive training in singing, dancing, and acting to prepare for the upcoming season. For our youngest stars, Broadway Kids offers a fantastic introduction to the world of musical theatre, where they'll learn and perform iconic songs from beloved Broadway shows. And for all ages, The World of Oz camp takes kids on a magical journey to the land of Oz, bringing this classic story to life in a fun and creative way. With both half-day and full-day options available, these camps are designed to foster creativity, build confidence, and give every camper a chance to shine on stage!
Saltwater to Represent Georgia at SETC
Our Mainstage Troupe is headed to the Southeastern Theatre Conference (SETC) in March, where they will proudly represent the entire state of Georgia in the Community Theatre Division with their production of Matilda the Musical. This is an incredible honor, but with a hefty price tag! We are grateful to everyone who attended our benefit performance on February 9, and we are now reaching out for additional support. With a cast of 39, plus directors, crew, and parents, we will be taking over 100 people in total to this exciting event in Baltimore. Junior & Kids Workshops
Join our Junior Troupe (grades 3-5) as we embark on a magical journey to discover "A Whole New World" in this exciting musical theatre workshop! Over the course of three months, participants will dive into the world of musical theatre, learning singing, dancing, and acting techniques, all leading up to four spectacular performances of this beloved Disney classic for family, friends, and the community.
Starting Wednesday, January 15, the workshop cast will meet from 4:15 - 6:30 pm. Beginning in February, select cast members will also meet on Mondays, with full cast rehearsals on Saturdays starting in April. Performances will take place from May 16 - 18. This workshop is not full. Check bac this summer for fall registration.
The Kids Troupe (grades K-2) workshop offers young theatre enthusiasts a magical introduction to the stage through a 30-minute production. Over the course of the workshop, participants explore the basics of acting, singing, and dancing, culminating in a fun and engaging show. This workshop is now full, but don’t miss the chance to see these talented young performers in action during their three shows from May 30 - June 1, 2025!
