Elementary

Junior programs are run as a workshop during which time auditions are held, and all attendees earn a role. Our next planned workshop will be Disney's Moana, Jr. which begins January 2021.  Registration is now open.  Please go to Upcoming Events to register.

Video auditions for our spring production of You're a Good Man Charlie Brown are due January 9th, 2021 at 5pm EST.  See "How to Audition" below and/or consider attending our audition class via Zoom on January 2nd.  Register for the Art of Auditioning HERE!

Encore

All ages

Prepare ye for the timeless tale of friendship, loyalty and love based on the Gospel According to St. Matthew. Encore is excited to bring Godspell to you this fall.  Show dates are March 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14, 2021.  Auditions are open to adults and students aged 16 and up and will be conducted virtually.  Please visit Cast98.com, create an account, select Saltwater Performing Arts as a "favorite" to view further instructions.  Auditions may be submitted beginning Monday, November 30. All auditions are DUE by 5:00 pm (EST) on Saturday, December 5.  

Godspell is being performed in place of The Sound of Music 

What Does An Audition Consist of?

Please refer to any specific audition instructions above.  In general, you should have the following prepared for an audition:
  •  Completed Audition Form & signed Medical Release (above)
  •  30-45 Second A Cappella Song, preferably Musical Theatre 
  •  30 Second Monologue that shows aspects of your desired character  
  •  Be prepared to cold read from the script (provided at the audition)
  •  Dress professionally (no jeans or t-shirts)
  •  Bring a change of clothes/shoes for dancing
  •  If you have head shots &/or performing arts resume, bring them 
  • Note: Please do not choose material from the show you are auditioning for
 
You should also be prepared to "slate" or introduce yourself.  Example:
"Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening, I'm (State your full name), I will be singing _________, my monologue is from (or called) ___________. [Perform your song and monologue. ] Thank you very much for your time, have a great day"
