Ages 15+

Much Ado About Nothing  - Encore Straight Plays production!  

Saltwater’s 11th Season brings to the stage for the first time the Straight Play troupe. The inaugural show is the classic William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing on stage January 16 - 19, 2025. Auditions for ages 15 and up will be held on Wednesday September 11 6:00 - 8:00 pm and Saturday September 14 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at Pigmental Studios located at 124 Industrial Drive in St Marys, GA. Click the round audition button above to download an audition form.  Email any questions to Encore@SaltwaterPAC.org

What Does An Audition Consist of?

Please refer to any specific audition instructions above.  In general, have the following prepared for an audition:
  •  Completed Audition Form & signed Medical Release (above)
  •  45-60 Second A Cappella Song, preferably Musical Theatre 
  •  45-60 Second Monologue that shows aspects of your desired character  
  •  Be prepared to cold read from the script (provided at the audition)
  •  Dress professionally (no jeans or t-shirts)
  •  Bring a change of clothes/shoes for dancing
  •  If you have head shots &/or performing arts resume, bring them 
  • Note: Please do not choose material from the show you are auditioning for
 
You should also be prepared to "slate" or introduce yourself.  Example:
"Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening, I'm (State your full name), I will be singing _________, my monologue is from (or called) ___________. [Perform your song and monologue. ] Thank you very much for your time, have a great day"
