Junior programs are run as a workshop during which time auditions are held, and all attendees earn a role. Our next planned workshop will be Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Jr. for Christmas 2022. Registration begins June 6, workshop begins August 2, meeting Tuesday of each week, and more frequently as the shows approach. Performances Friday December 2, and two shows on Saturday, December 3. Registration is limited so reserve your spot early.
The SpongeBob Musical is coming fall 2022! Auditions are July 9 from 12:30-3, with an optional, paid audition workshop, June 23. You can also get an early preview of songs and show numbers at Broadway Boot Camp June 13-17. Rehearsals begin August 1. And exciting news: We will be taking The SpongBob Musical to The Georgia Theatre Conference coming to Camden County, October 12-15. Annie, A Christmas Story: The Musical, Clue: The Musical, Irving Berlin's White Christmas and Shrek the Musical are only a few of the hits you may have seen from Saltwater's Encore stage. This all-ages troupe delights audiences with their abounding talents. The Putnam County Spelling Bee (rated PG-13) will come to the stage spring 2023 for six performances. Auditions for this 18+ cast will be November 5 at the Friese Studio of Musical (other accommodations by arrangement). Direction by Sophia Rose Loveday. What Does An Audition Consist of?
Please refer to any specific audition instructions above. In general, have the following prepared for an audition:
Completed Audition Form & signed Medical Release (above)
45-60 Second A Cappella Song, preferably Musical Theatre
45-60 Second Monologue that shows aspects of your desired character
Be prepared to cold read from the script (provided at the audition)
Dress professionally (no jeans or t-shirts)
Bring a change of clothes/shoes for dancing
If you have head shots &/or performing arts resume, bring them
