Junior programs are run as a workshop during which time auditions are held, and all attendees earn a role. Our next planned workshop will be Seussical, JR. spring 2023. Registration begins November 10, workshop begins January 10, meeting Tuesday of each week, and more frequently as the shows approach. Performances Friday May 26, and two shows on Saturday, May 27. Registration is limited so reserve your spot early.
Annie, A Christmas Story: The Musical, Clue: The Musical, Irving Berlin's White Christmas and Shrek the Musical are only a few of the hits you may have seen from Saltwater's Encore stage. This all-ages troupe delights audiences with their abounding talents. The Putnam County Spelling Bee (rated PG-13) will come to the stage spring 2023 for six performances. Auditions for this 18+ cast will be November 5 (additional auditions, November 15, with ages expanded to 16+) at the Friese Studio of Musical (other accommodations by arrangement). What Does An Audition Consist of?
Please refer to any specific audition instructions above. In general, have the following prepared for an audition:
Completed Audition Form & signed Medical Release (above)
45-60 Second A Cappella Song, preferably Musical Theatre
45-60 Second Monologue that shows aspects of your desired character
Be prepared to cold read from the script (provided at the audition)
Dress professionally (no jeans or t-shirts)
Bring a change of clothes/shoes for dancing
If you have head shots &/or performing arts resume, bring them
