Whether you are a brand new face or a seasoned performer we would like to meet you. Find our upcoming auditions below.
Junior programs are run as a workshop during which time auditions are held, and all attendees earn a role. Our next planned workshop will be Seussical, JR. spring 2023. Registration begins November 10, workshop begins January 10, meeting Tuesday of each week, and more frequently as the shows approach. Performances Friday May 26, and two shows on Saturday, May 27. Registration is limited so reserve your spot early.
Guys and Dolls is coming spring 2023! Auditions are December 11, with an optional, paid audition workshop, December 1. Rehearsals begin in January, with performances Apr 21-29. And exciting news: Learn more about the show, rehearsals, and see character breakdowns HERE!
The Wedding Singer based on the Adam Sandler hit movie is coming to the Saltwater stage in July. The musical revolves around Robbie, who sings at weddings, his failed relationship with his former fiancée, and his romance with a new love, Julia. Interested parties ages 16 and up are invited to audition, May 6 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Friese Studio of Music. Click HERE for additional details and character breakdowns!
What Does An Audition Consist of?
Please refer to any specific audition instructions above. In general, have the following prepared for an audition:
Completed Audition Form & signed Medical Release (above)
45-60 Second A Cappella Song, preferably Musical Theatre
45-60 Second Monologue that shows aspects of your desired character
Be prepared to cold read from the script (provided at the audition)
Dress professionally (no jeans or t-shirts)
Bring a change of clothes/shoes for dancing
If you have head shots &/or performing arts resume, bring them
Note: Please do not choose material from the show you are auditioning for
You should also be prepared to "slate" or introduce yourself. Example:
"Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening, I'm (State your full name), I will be singing _________, my monologue is from (or called) ___________. [Perform your song and monologue. ] Thank you very much for your time, have a great day"
